19XX "The War Against Destiny"19XX "The War Against Destiny": Many people for some reason, only seem to think that Capcom produce beat-em up's! It's not true as Capcom has a fine pedigree, when it comes to producing shoot-em up's. Indeed their first ever game was a vertically scrolling shoot-em up, by the name of Vulgus (released way back in 1984). 19XX is in fact a sequel in one of Capcom's longest running series of games. Prequels include 1942, 1943 & 1943 Kai. Recent additions to this series include 19XX "The LoopMaster." As with any shoot-em up, the game premise is a simple one. Wave after wave of enemy plane descend upon you, each packing more firepower than you can possibly handle! But fear not, as your trusty plane comes equiped with all the latest mod-cons (damn, I sound like Jeremy Clarkson!). Smart bombs wipe out everything on screen; you can even hold down the fire button and charge your main guns, in an attempt to reduce the bad guys to ashes! Words by LoopMaster.
